Online soccer predictions that win for Denmark – Finland

We hope that you’re ready for some more online soccer predictions that win because today we will discuss the Euro 2020 game between two Scandinavian sides – Denmark and Finland. Let’s get to work!

The match between Denmark and Finland is a fixture from Group B of the Euro 2020. Belgium and Russia are the other two teams in this group, so it sure looks like an interesting one. The Belgian side is the clear favorite for the first place, but the other three teams have their chance as well.

European champions in 1992, Denmark qualified for the competition after finishing second in their qualifying group. The Red Dynamite won 16 points in 8 matches played and finished just one point behind the winner of the group Switzerland. It was enough to reach the European Championship, though. It’s an interesting fact that Denmark didn’t win this group, but they are the only team in it which finished the campaign unbeaten – four wins and four draws.

In the World Cup qualifiers, Denmark started their campaign with three consecutive wins against Israel, Moldova, and Austria. But what’s most impressive is the fact that they didn’t concede a single goal in these three matches and scored 14 times – 14-0 is their goal difference from these first three qualifiers. This should tell you that this Danish team means business.

In their last game up to date, Denmark faced Austria in a World Cup qualifier and celebrated a stunning 4-0 win away from home in Wien. The Red Dynamite scored all of its four goals after the halftime break. Andreas Olsen opened the scoreline while Joakim Mahle, Pierre Emil Hojbjerg, and Andreas Olsen again finished the job.

Denmark’s manager Kasper Hjulmand is clearly doing some very good job so far. He’s managing the team since last summer, and so far, he’s achieving some impressive results. Before this, Hjulmand was managing the Danish team Nordsjaelland while he also has a stint in the Bundesliga with Mainz 05.

There are some players who must act as leaders for Denmark during the European Championship. Leicester City’s Kasper Schmeichel brings valuable experience at the goalkeeper position while Simon Kjaer, Daniel Wass, and the new Champions League winner Andrea Christensen are very important in defense.

The Serie A winner with Inter Milan Christian Eriksen remains one of the key players in the Danish team. Despite having some troubles with the Nerazzurri during the season, Eriksen remains a world-class playmaker who knows how to play perfectly at the number 10 position. Meanwhile, Tottenham’s Pierre Emil Hojbjerg and Borussia Dortmund’s Thomas Delaney are bringing stability when acting as a midfield duo behind him.

In attack, the head coach Kasper Hjulmand has some interesting options he’s sticking to. The 22-years old Jonas Wind could lead the attack with his impressive height of 190 cm, while Barcelona’s Martin Braithwaite and RB Leipzig’s Yussuf Poulsen should be playing near him.

But obviously, Christian Eriksen is the key figure in this team – his shape would be critical for Denmark’s overall performance at the Euro. Eriksen didn’t trust Antonio Conte all of the time at Inter Milan, but will this affect his performance at the European Championship? We can’t know this for sure, we must see. There’s one thing which can’t be denied, though – he’s a player of a very high quality.

For Finland this is a historic first appearance at a big international competition. The manager Markku Kanerva and his players did something incredible during the qualifying campaign as the Eagle-ows achieved unprecedented success.

Finland surprisingly finished second in their qualifying group for the Euro 2020. The Scandinavians won 18 points during their campaign, which was enough for them to take the second place behind Italy. The Eagle-ows left teams like Greece and Bosnia-Herzegovina behind them.

Finland’s current shape is a little bit worrying, though. Markku Kanerva’s boys are without a win in their last five matches, two friendlies included. In the World Cup qualifiers, they managed to record two draws against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Ukraine, but after that they lost two consecutive friendly games against Switzerland and Sweden. It’s just friendlies, though – we should not focus on them that much.

At the end of May, the Eagle-ows faced fellow Scandinavians Sweden in a friendly game, but the match in Solna ended with a 2-0 win for the hosts. Once again, Kanerva used a 3-4-3 formation with Roope Riski leading the attack, but it didn’t work according to the plan.

Finland is a team that relies on its team spirit as they don’t have any huge stars or something like that. Their most famous player is Norwich City’s striker Teemu Pukki who have shown his quality in the Premier League as well. Bayer Leverkusen’s goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky is one of the team’s important players as well. At this moment, the Eagles-ows are captained by the midfielder Tim Sparv who is playing for the Greek team AEL.

Some other interesting players in Finland’s squad are Genk’s Jere Uronen, Djurgarden’s Rasmus Schuller, Augsburg’s Fredrik Jensen, and Esbjerg’s Pyry Soiri. We should wait and see what kind of influence they would have on their team.

Teemu Pukki is most certainly a crucial player for the Finish team. He has scored 30 goals for his country so far in 90 appearances which is an impressive achievement. He’s just two goals behind Finland’s all-time top scorer Jari Litmanen who has scored 32 times for the national team during his legendary career.

That’s our online soccer predictions that win for the Euro 2020 fixture between Denmark and Finland from Group B of the competition. Everybody thinks that Finland is the underdog in this group, but let’s see if this is going to be the case. One thing is for sure – Denmark’s current shape is impressive as they scored 14 goals in their last three matches and didn’t concede even once. For the Finish team that’s going to be a huge thing to play at the Euro, but the lack of experience could be a problem for them here.
