Predicting correct scores in football matches

Roma hosts Porto at the Stadio Olimpico in a second leg from the Europa League playoffs. After a 1-1 draw in the first match, both teams have chances to progress. Let’s preview this fixture in our Predicting correct scores in football matches.

It was an interesting game at the Do Dragao last week, but with no winner at the end. Zeki Celik opened the score for Roma at the end of the first half, but Francisco Moura equalised for the Dragons after the break. Meanwhile Roma finished the game with 10 men as Bryan Cristante was sent off. It means that the midfielder won’t be available to play on Thursday.

The world champion Leandro Paredes could replace the suspended Cristante in the line-up while Paulo Dybala left the last game injured. If Dybala is not ready to play it means that Stephan El Shaarawy could be in line to start the match. Tommaso Baldanzi is another option for the head coach Claudio Ranieri.

The wingbacks are crucial in Ranieri’s 3-5-2 formation. At the Do Dragao he started with Angelino and Saelemaekers on the flanks. These two players are very important for the way the team functions.

Porto are still adapting to life with their new head coach Martin Anselmi who arrived at the club in January. Last weekend the Argentine manager achieved his first win in the Portuguese league – 1-0 against Farense away from home. It was once again Francisco Moura who scored the winning goal in the beginning of the second half. The 25-years old wingback is obviously in a good shape at the moment – he scored in a second consecutive match for the Dragons.

That’s the Predicting correct scores in football matches for the Europa League playoffs match between Roma and Porto at the Olimpico. Let’s see which one of these two teams will progress to the 1/8-finals.
